A women's purse designed to follow current fashion trends with completely novel base materials.
They say creativity works best under constraints and I couldn't agree more. For this project, I wanted to push the material norms for handbags and see what new materials could drive a design for a new women's handbag. I spent a weekend to design a women's purse...all with materials from Home Depot and a budget of $15.
MATERIAL CHOICE

Photo from Novia Ltd.
Building Paper - The original purpose of this product was to protect a structure from moisture and beneath an exterior face. I chose this material because of it's flexible yet durable properties.

Corner Bead - Contrasting the flexible nature of the building paper, the corner bead has a more rigid and aggressive pattern that I used to give structure to the purse.
